Mount Marua & Marua Heights

Mount Marua

Mount Marua is a premier development that continues to expand and is one of the first gated communities in Wellington.

Subsequent stages haven't been gated but still reflect the blue ribbon prestige of the project.

It is characterised by distinctive home on large sections - from 1300 sqm to 5479 sqm - nestled among native bush. Features of the first stage include a lake with a pavillion and a jetty, a tennis court and fitness trails.

The views from these sites are nothing short of majestic. They take in forest, farm land, the Hutt River, the Akatarawa River and the Te Marua gold course.

Mount Marua was designed to be special. People's investments are protected by covenants on the buildings and the materials used to construct them, as well as the quality of landscaping. Generally natural building materials are encouraged and each house is meant to have clear architectural integrity.

Building sites and the road have been laid out in sympathy with the dominant landform, native vegetation is protected and development has been concentrated to minimise encroachment on bush.

The covenants are intended to preserve the quality and characteristics of the area by ensuring houses are designed specifically for their sites and minimise earthmoving so natural bush and significant landscape features aren't disturbed.

The character of this development is one of a bush or woodland setting. While each house will have its own identity, it also has to be part of a collective environment and must blend into the setting.

Marua Heights

Marua Heights offers large lifestyle blocks where people can hobbyfarm and run their own livestock whilst still being within easy reach of Upper Hutt City.
